The Yasawa Islands are located north west of Fiji’s largest island Viti Levu and there are 16 islands that make up the Yasawa island group. Together they stretch a total distance of approximately 90 kilometres and because they were formed as a result of volcanic activity, they are much larger and more rugged than other Fijian islands and stand high above the sea.
